A parallel creative world

LJH :
Dark Bunny

An alternate transmission from somewhere slightly off-center.

Part alter ego, part shelter, Dark Bunny is where the stranger ideas go: psychedelia, repetition, heavier beats, surreal characters, altered states, distorted realities, and songs that don’t necessarily belong inside one genre.

It shares DNA with Leah Jane Hendrix, but it has different rules.

For now, Dark Bunny lives partly inside this site. Eventually the deeper rabbit holes will have a home of their own.

The room is still the room.
Until it isn’t.

The Spins — LJH : Dark Bunny cover artwork

LJH : Dark Bunny / October 3, 2026

The Spins

The addictive, transportive feeling of music: being pulled so completely into a sound that it becomes another reality. The Spins is also literally about loving spinning vinyl. A record becomes a vortex in the artwork, opening onto the same altered space as the song’s hypnotic trip-hop, downtempo and psychedelic electronic textures. Nocturnal, beat-oriented and a little unsteady.

Process notes

Leah developed the lyrics, concept and creative direction partly as an experiment in how her voice might work in a beat/DJ-oriented setting. Vocals are based on her recorded voice and substantially transformed. Most instrumental/melodic development was generative, with iterative light editing, cuts and fades.

Martian Girl — LJH : Dark Bunny cover artwork

LJH : Dark Bunny / October 2, 2026

Martian Girl

Retro-futurist psychedelia, organ and keyboard textures, and a strange, colorful world. This neo-psychedelic interpretation lets Martian Girl wander further from Earth. Together with the Earthling Edit, it offers two alternate perspectives on one imagined universe.

Process notes

The original, stranger psychedelic / retro-organ interpretation, developed under Leah’s creative direction.
